World Wide Helicopters, Limited ADR certificate 1958

This plain but desirable certificate represents an American depository receipt for ordinary shares in this Bahamas company. Helicopter pieces are very rare and this is the first we have seen of this company. Perfect gift for the enthusiast!  Issued 1958.

This company was incorporated in July 1952 with the name Bahamas Helicopters Limited. It changed its name to World Wide Helicopters Limited in July 1957. World Wide was a large helicopter charter operator that primarily served oil companies. The company provided surveying services as well as air left support for drilling operations. The company became World Wide Limited in December 1981 to reflect the company’s change of focus to commercial real estate.
