Incorporated 1925 for the purpose of acquiring and maintaining duck hunting land, the company owned lands along Utah rivers and lakes north of Salt lake City UT. The club worked with other fish and game protective associations in Utah - Bear River Duck Club, New State Gun Club, Burnham Club, Bailey Lake Duck Club, Knudson Brothers Duck Club, West Lake Duck Club, and Church Farm Duck Club. Before the state and federal government was involved, the groups were involved in reviewing the impact of irrigation ditches and draining of lands on the wildlife.
In 1937, the US government sued to condemn Bear River marsh lands used by the gun club. Lien holders of the land included Provo Gun Club on Bear River, the Bailey Lake Duck Club, and the Duckville Gun Club. The land was sought for migratory birds under eminent domain.
